The Contemplative Prayer
Our Lord Jesus Christ, always and living and praying for us; as we look on your holy Face, we contemplate your pierced and glorious Heart, as you consecrate yourself to your Father, that we too may be consecrated in Spirit and in truth.
May we, the Contemplative Evangelizers of your Heart, be fully drawn to you, O Lord Jesus! Make us firmly resolved to remain in your Love and to entrust all our life to you!
We humbly and confidently pray that we may share the inclination of your Sacred Heart to prayer, charity, sacrifice, zeal and work. May we live a life of contemplative prayer, remaining totally consecrated to your Father together with you, in the Holy Spirit.
May we live a life of fraternal union with our brothers and with all our people, through a full commitment of service and prayer for them. May we live a life of austere discipline of mind, heart and body through the practice of a joyful poverty, a shining chastity, a sacrificial obedience, and zealous promotion of contemplative prayer.
May we live a life of hard work and deep study, especially the study of your Word and the teaching of your Church, that we may share the methods and the fruits of our contemplation with as many people as possible.
All this we humbly and confidently ask through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin, trusting in her Immaculate Heart, and through the prayers of St. Joseph, St. John the evangelist and St. Charles Lwanga our dear Protectors.
“Marana, tha! O Lord Jesus! Come!” Amen! Alleluya!
